SERVES 12 bars
Ingredients-
- 450g rolled oats
- 100g honey
- 150ml water
- Pinch of salt
- 250g natural peanut butter
- 200g Dark Chocolate
- 50g Melted Coconut Oil
Ingredients-
Firstly spread your oats onto a large baking tray and roast in the oven at 180°c for 10 minutes.
Whilst the oats are baking, mix together the peanut butter, honey, water and pinch of salt.
In a separate bowl melt together the dark chocolate and coconut oil, I used 70% dark chocolate.
Once the oats are roasted, add your peanut butter honey mixture and mix into the oats really well.
Choose a dish you’re going to set your bars in and line with baking paper, add around 5 tbsp of the melted chocolate, ensure the base is fully covered.
Next add 90% of your oat mixture and press down really well. Very important- your oats mixture needs to hold together when squeezed in your hand, add a little more honey if needed.
Next drizzle over the remaining chocolate and crumble over the remaining oat mixture.
Add to the fridge and set for 2 hours minimum.
Cut up your bars in 12 and enjoy!
These will last 1 week in the fridge or a month in the freezer!
