Ingredients-
360g butter, softened
360g caster sugar
6 eggs
360g self-raising flour
2 tsp vanilla essence
80ml milk
450g icing sugar
60ml milk

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Butter a tray.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and caster sugar until light and smooth.
Add eggs one by one, whisking continuously. Don't worry if it splits; it will smooth out with the addition of flour.
Mix in self-raising flour, vanilla essence, and 80ml milk until the batter reaches a pouring consistency.
Pour the batter into the prepared tray.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool. Optionally, tip it upside down onto a cooling rack for a flatter top.
Mix icing sugar with 60ml milk until smooth, Do not add more milk; it will come together with mixing.
Spread the icing over the cooled cake.
Top with sprinkles for a colourful finish.
