Ingredients-
2 tbsp white sesame seeds, dry toasted
250g king prawns
1 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, sliced
1 red chili, sliced
Handful of fresh chopped parsley (approximately 2 tbsp)
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 portions of egg noodles (approximately 125g per person)
Instructions-
Boil water for your egg noodles and cook them according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
While the water is boiling for the noodles, prepare your ingredients. Slice the garlic, red chili, and parsley.
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until it starts to turn golden.
Add the king prawns and sliced red chili to the pan. Cook the prawns until they turn pink and opaque, flipping them if they are thick.
Stir in the dark soy sauce, dry toasted white sesame seeds, and honey. Mix everything well to coat the prawns.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the pan and toss to combine with the prawns and sauce. Make sure the noodles are evenly coated.
Finish the dish by adding the chopped parsley and squeezing the juice of half a lemon over the mixture.
If you enjoy extra freshness and heat, you can garnish the dish with additional parsley and chili to your liking.
Add finely sliced vegetables of your choice before the garlic, such as bell peppers, baby corn, or mangetout, for added texture and flavoUr.
Serve immediately and enjoy your “Pick Me Up” prawn noodles.
