SAUSAGE RAGU
This recipe takes Ragu to the next level, peppery Cumberland sausages break down into a fine and flavoursome meat sauce

Ingredients
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 celery sticks, diced
- 2 large carrots, grated
- 2 tins chopped tomatoes
- 8 Cumberland sausages
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 1 stock cube, chicken or veg
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp thyme
- 1 tbsp Hendersons relish
- 4 tbsp tomato purée
- 400ml water
Method
Add the following to the slow cooker and mix really well. Cook on high for 6 hours, once the 6 hours are finished, taste for seasoning and adjust as necessary then I like to take a potato masher and mash the Ragu until it reaches a fine consistency which is also great if you have any fussy eaters as the vegetables are well hidden.
Serve with spaghetti and lashings of Parmesan!
