Ingredients-

  • 400g diced beef

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • 4 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 4 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar

  • 4 tbsp honey

  • 200ml water

  • 2 garlic cloves, grated

  • 1 chopped pepper

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • Noodles (for serving)

Instructions-

  1. In a bowl, coat the diced beef with cornflour to help thicken the sauce as it cooks.

  2. In the slow cooker, combine dark soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, cider vinegar, honey, grated garlic, and water.

  3. Add the coated beef to the sauce mixture in the slow cooker.

  4. Cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 8-10 hours. For more tender beef, it's recommended to use the low setting. If using the high setting, consider cutting the beef into smaller pieces, around 1cm cubes.

  5. About half an hour before serving, add one chopped pepper to the slow cooker.

  6. After the pepper has cooked for 30 minutes, boil your noodles until they are soft, then mix them into the slow cooker.

  7. Finish the dish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
